Housing Locator- Full Time

The Bucks County non-profit seeks experienced individual to perform housing location services throughout Bucks County. Knowledge of the Bucks County real estate and apartment rental industry a must. The Housing Locator will demonstrate persistence and motivation as they seek to locate permanent, affordable housing for individuals and families enrolled in housing programs.

Essential Functions:
• Develop and maintain landlord relationships, encouraging landlord participation in housing programs.
• Ability to negotiate lease agreements and conduct housing quality inspections.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and conflict resolution skills required.
• Ability to collaborate with all partners within the Housing Link system.
• Strong crisis resolution, relationship building, communication, organizational and computer skills are necessary.

• Bachelor’s degree or 3 years of real estate/property management experience
• Knowledge of Bucks County rental market
• Valid driver’s license and reliable car
• Schedule that includes some evenings & occasional weekend hours
• Ability to lift/move up to 25 lbs

CYS Self-Sufficiency Coach, Pathways to Housing- Full Time

Bucks County Opportunity Council seeks experienced individual to partner w/ CYS involved families in Bucks County in a short term housing and self-sufficiency program.

Essential Functions:
• Provide coaching and support to families involved with Bucks County Children & Youth Services in a residential program
• Address personal and family crisis situations
• Be available for evening and some weekends as needed
• Help clients identify their individual strengths and resources through enhanced follow-up services
• Motivate clients to establish short and long term self-sufficiency goals and action steps
• Provide housing location services including search, landlord negotiation, and financial assistance
• Partner with participants to develop a long-term plan with a focus on increasing education and employment to achieve the long-term goal of economic self-sufficiency.
• Connect participants to community resources, assist them to enhance personal support system, identify and help participants build skills relating to budgeting, relationship building, conflict management, educational advancement and job readiness.
• Maintain records and documentation as required

Bachelor’s degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

Street Outreach Coach- Full Time

The Bucks County non-profit seeks an individual to perform street outreach services throughout central and upper Bucks County. The Street Outreach Worker will identify and assist Bucks County’s most vulnerable homeless and chronically homeless individuals and families to resolve their housing crisis.

• Provide street-based outreach, with a housing first perspective, to individuals or families that live or spend a significant amount of time on the street (housing insecure/homeless) throughout central and upper Bucks County
• Establish relationships and encourage participation in mainstream housing services in an effort to achieve housing stability
• Accept referrals from the Bucks County Housing Link and Community Outreach Programs to assist in identification, location, and verification of homeless individuals and families in Bucks County
• Maintain complete and accurate case records, including the county’s Homeless Management Information System (HMIS)

• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Experience in working with homeless individuals/families
• Valid driver’s license and reliable car
• Schedule that includes some evenings & occasional weekend hours
• Ability to lift/move up to 25 lbs.
