Bucks County Opportunity Council is seeking an Accountant to apply principles of accounting to record and report financial transactions for the organization. The position performs routine clerical and administrative functions. This full-time position reports to the Fiscal Director, is hybrid remote, and is based out of Doylestown, PA.

Responsibilities

    • Regular and reliable in-person attendance as outlined for position in Remote Work Policy
    • Maintain accounts payable and accounts receivable
    • Reconcile and balances accounts
    • Make expense-related G/L entries
    • Reconcile and balance Clients to Success financial data with accounting software as assigned
    • Reconcile and balance Donor Perfect data with accounting software as assigned
    • Maintain various office files according to the agency’s records retention policy
    • Adhere to agency confidentiality policies
    • Prepare statistics and reports as assigned
    • Update and maintain building inventory as assigned
    • Track leases and assets as assigned
    • Participate in approved professional development training annually
    • Record checks received daily and Weekly deposits as assigned
    • Bank account maintenance and reconciliation(s) as assigned
    • Assist with preparation of periodic financial statements and other reports as required by the Fiscal Director, Chief Financial Officer, or Executive Director
    • Assist in maintenance of computerized accounting system
    • Assist with preparation of agency, department, and grant budgets

Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s degree from a 4-year college or equivalent combination of education and experience
    • Valid PA driver’s license and auto insurance
    • PA criminal, FBI fingerprint, and Child Abuse clearances

Salary range: $45,000 – $52,000.00 per year

Bucks County Opportunity Council is seeking a Facilities Technician to be responsible for the overall upkeep of BCOC properties, ensuring that facilities are safe, functional, and well maintained. Job functions will be performed at the Quakertown, Doylestown, Bensalem, and Bristol locations, with additional work performed in the community or at partner locations. This is a full-time position requiring regular travel throughout Bucks County.

Responsibilities:

  • Respond promptly to work orders and emergency maintenance requests
  • Conduct routine inspections of the buildings, equipment, and systems
  • Perform basic repairs, including but not limited to replacing lightbulbs, replacing HVAC filters, basic plumbing, drywall repair, and painting
  • Coordinate with vendors for all non-basic repairs, including meeting contractors at the sites
  • Develop and implement maintenance schedule to ensure general upkeep and that township and code requirements are met
  • Develop and implement facilities oversight documents and binder for each site location
  • Maintain detailed records of all maintenance and repair work
  • Assist in negotiating contracts for services such as lawn care, snow removal, garbage collection, etc.
  • Demonstrate a proficient understanding of the fire alarm systems and act as main point of contact for emergency calls
  • Perform routine pest control monthly
  • Assist with managing agency vehicle fleet, including tracking and scheduling inspections and maintenance
  • Position supports other BCOC departments/functions as needed, i.e. transport furniture or items between offices, assist with food distributions and deliveries, set up for meetings, etc.
  • Provide support for IT under the direction of the Director of Quality Control

 

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma with at least 2 years of experience in a related industry
  • Satisfactory knowledge of tools, equipment, and materials used in general maintenance work
  • Ability to work unsupervised, be a self-starter, well-organized, and able to multitask
  • Regular travel between site locations is required.
  • Possess and maintain a valid Pennsylvania driver’s license, auto insurance and reliable vehicle
  • Pass PA criminal, FBI fingerprint and Child Abuse clearances

Salary range: $50,000 – $55,000 per year
